Junette Kirkham Woller

Judy K. WollerJunette Kirkham Woller was born in Houston, Texas and spent her formative years on Galveston Island. She has a background in the Fine and Performing Arts and Journalism. She began publishing at the age of 16 and her work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, newsletters, church bulletins, poetry anthologies, and books such as Chocolate for a Teen’s Soul, Quotable Texas Women, and Summer Shorts. Future publications containing her work are Memory Bridge and Sweet Dreams.

Her experience as a music teacher, professional model, handspinner, weaver, calligrapher, bookbinder, and toastmaster are resources for her work. Her interests are varied, but she especially enjoys teaching and being an encourager to others. T’ai Chi, Chi Gong, and walking are her favorite forms of exercise.

Judy is a charter member of the San Antonio Writers Guild, a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and Life Member of Friends of the San Antonio Public Library.

A long-time resident of San Antonio, she is married, has three grown sons, a granddaughter and a grandson.
